SAKATA INX ESPAÑA, S.A. is a subsidiary of SAKATA INX CORP., a company based in Osaka (Japan) and the origin of one of the largest printing ink manufacturing corporations worldwide.
SAKATA INX ESPAÑA, S.A. was founded in Barcelona (Spain) in November 1980, under the name of EUROSAKATA, S.A., by a group of Spanish shareholders.
In March 1987 a joint venture between EUROSAKATA S.A. and the Japanese firm SAKATA SHOKAI LTD. was created. The opening capital was increased and fell entirely controled by the Japanese shareholders. The company name was changed and the construction of the current factory began in Palau-Solità i Plegamans, which opened a year later, in March 1988.
At the end of 1991 the new liquid inks plant producing solvent-based inks for flexible packaging printing in flexographic and gravure operations. |
